The idea. A brand-community platform connecting consumers, local builders and Zacs stores nationwide.

In 2015, with the premium pre-painted galvanised iron (PPGI) market crowded with strong competitors, NS BlueScope asked for an idea that would change the game for the next five years.

Our answer: a brand community built on a platform of connected mobile apps — linking the three audiences that drive the category (consumers, local builders and Zacs stores) into one nationwide loyalty ecosystem. The suite launched on iOS and Android in May 2018.

Three apps, one ecosystem

  • App for Local Builders — a media library, event tools, a rewards & promotion programme and consultancy to build builder loyalty.
  • App for Consumers (Mái Lợp Zacs) — connects homeowner demand to brand-trained skilled builders, with product and PR content.
  • App for Zacs Stores (distributors) — channels builder and consumer demand into sales, with dedicated tools to care for VIP customers.
The results

In twelve months the loyalty community grew from a 50-province pilot to a nationwide network — a 5.6× jump in active local builders.
